MAURITIUS TO LET 34 EU TUNA VESSELS FISH IN ITS WATERS

34 EU tuna vessels now have the consignment to fish in the Mauritian waters. This laudable opportunity will allow an annual compensation of Rs 26.4 million with the aim to guarantee the conservation and sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources and develop Mauritius' fisheries sector.

Duration of agreement: 3 years

Types of vessels: 22 Spanish tuna seiners and 12 Spanish surface tuna longliners
