Financial agreement for Phase 2 of the SmartFish Programme
The SmartFish Programme is one of the largest regional programme for fisheries in Africa covering 20 countries in the ESA - IO region. The SmartFish Programme is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Indian Ocean Commission and co implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organisation.
This Thursday 06th of March 2014, a financial agreement of EURO 16 million was signed between the European Union and the Indian Ocean Commission. The Phase II of the SmartFish Programme shall last for the next 3 years.
