Sapmer - A France based company in Mauritius

Sapmer is a France based company involved in deep sea fishing, using sustainable methods of fishing and preservation. The company is involved in lobster, toothfish and tuna fisheries and processing.  Sapmer is actually present in Mauritius for the processing of fish through its close collaboration with the Seafood Hub Ltd in Mer des Mascareignes.

During the last few years, Sapmer has made significant investment in the fisheries sector of our island. In 2013, Sapmer has announced a total profit of 91.6 million euros in Mauritius. For competitive reasons, boats from that company are in full swings and have their landing of catches in Mauritius where processing plants have been installed on the landing docks of the island.
