Dozens of dead fish at Case Noyale, Mauritius
Last Friday 7th of February 2014, some dozens of dead fish were found on the beach at Case Noyale. Investigation to determine the cause of those dead fish is still going on, according to the Minister of Fisheries, Nicolas Von Mally.
Some villagers say that it is the fishermen who are responsible for that incident as very often some of them fish illegally and for fear of being arrested by the authorities, they just throw the fish away. This incident happens quite frequently, where fishermen catch small sized fish and then throw them away or back to the sea - by catch
Others suspect that the death of these fish is a direct effect of pollution.
